*   SPRING 2027 schedule is now posted --
    Early Registration for Continuing Students for Spring 2027 is Nov 9-20,
    (look for your Spring Registration Appointment on the far-RIGHT
    of your Student Center)

    *   GOOD idea to touch base with your Advisor and make sure your
        Spring schedule will keep you on track for graduation!

    *   PLEASE register during early registration!

    linked with today's lab exercise!

*   NOTE: string class + operator also works to append a string
    object and a char

    *   char and char* are actually quite different types
        "under the hood", but string's + operator
	can append a char to a string

    *   a_string + a_string // that's fine!
    
    *   a_string + "moo"    // also ok!
        "moo" + a_string    // also ok!
	
    *   a_string + 's'      // turns out this is also fine!
        's' + a_string      // also ok!

    NOT OKAY:  'm' + "oo"   // that's char and char*
    NOT OKAY:  'm' + 'o'    // that's char and char
    NOT OKAY:  "m" + "oo"   // that's char* and char*
